PLO is built for young thinkers in Grades 6–12.

📋 Eligibility Criteria

1. School-Enrolled Contestants

If you are enrolled in school, your eligibility is determined by your current grade:

  • Junior Contest: Grades 6, 7, or 8
  • Senior Contest: Grades 9, 10, 11, or 12

Important Exception: If you have attended the Invitational Round Camp in any previous year, you can only appear in the Senior contest.

⚠️ Required ID: You must carry an official school photo ID that states your name, school name, in which you are studying (or date of birth), and has your photograph.

2. Non-School-Enrolled Contestants

If you are not enrolled in school, your category is determined by age (equivalent grade level):

  • Your category will be decided by the equivalent grade that you'd otherwise belong to.
  • Exception: If you have attended the Invitational Round Camp previously, you can only appear in the Senior contest.
⚠️ Required ID: You must carry a government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar card, passport, etc.) that states your name, date of birth, and has your photograph.

3. India at IOL 2026 Representatives

Contestants who have represented India at IOL 2026 are eligible for direct entry to the Invitational Round camp and do not need to appear for the Round 1 contest.

4. Non-Citizen Participants

Contestants who are not citizens of India are eligible to participate in the Round 1 contest, provided they:

  • Reside in India, AND
  • Are enrolled in a school in India

5. 12th Grade Completion

Contestants who have completed their 12th grade are NOT eligible to register for PLO.

⭐ Important Points

Walk-in Registration at the Exam Centre

If you could not register on time, you can still register as a "walk-in" applicant at your nearest exam centre on exam day. Simply share your registration details and pay the standard registration fee at the centre itself. No prior online registration required.

Tentative Student List & Roll Numbers

Once registrations are processed, a tentative list of students and their roll numbers will be posted on the website. Keep checking the website regularly for further updates regarding your registration status and exam details.
