13th - 28th June 2025
LTRC, IIIT Hyderabad

About

LTRC, IIIT-H announces the 13th edition of Summer School Series, IASNLP 2025, an opportunity for those passionate about advancing their knowledge in Multimodal Natural Language Processing.

Natural Language Processing (NLP) has transformed the way humans interact with machines, enabling voice assistants, speech translation systems, and conversational AI. However, real-world communication is inherently multimodal—combining speech and text to convey meaning effectively. This year's theme is "Multimodal NLP: Bridging Speech and Text," explores how to integrate these two modalities to enhance NLP applications, making them more robust, inclusive, and context aware.

Multimodal NLP brings together advancements in Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Text-to-Speech (TTS), Machine Translation, Conversational AI, and Speech-Aware NLP models to create systems that process and generate language more naturally. With increasing interest in multilingual speech processing, accessibility solutions, and voice-based AI, this summer school will provide a deep dive into state-of-the-art techniques and real-world applications.

Format of the Summer School: The Summer School involves lectures from experts, hands-on sessions and projects, where participants are introduced to the necessary concepts and/or tools necessary required for the project. Post that, participants are supposed to work on the project while interacting with mentors.

Pre-School Session: There will be a 2-day Pre-School session from 13th to 14th June 2025, which will introduce essential foundational concepts for participants from different backgrounds and disciplines.
